Session on Problem Solution & Product Market Fit
27 February 24, Tuesday

Introduction:
The A.T.O.M Robotics Society of the ECE Department hosted an event on February 27th, 2024 titled “Problem Solution & Product Market Fit.” The event aimed to enlighten tech enthusiasts and innovators on the intricacies of problem-solving and achieving product-market fit in the competitive tech industry.

Speakers and Expertise: The seminar featured two notable speakers:
● Manav Sethi, DevOps/Backend Engineer at Olvy, with experience as an intern at Flipkart and IIT Bombay.
● Naman Malik, Robotics Software Developer at Acceleration Robotics, with internship experiences at Combat and IIT Bombay.

Overview of Seminar:
During the event, Naman Malik from Acceleration Robotics shared his hands-on experience in addressing a significant challenge in the robotics field. He detailed his involvement in a project aimed at enhancing the Gazebo simulation software to support the simulation of outdoor autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), a feature previously unavailable. This development was crucial for the industry, as it filled a gap in the market by providing a tool that could simulate outdoor conditions for AMRs, exemplifying the concept of Product Market Fit by solving a real-world problem. Manav Sethi of Olvy discussed the evolution of their product in response to market needs. Initially, Olvy’s software service focused on collecting and responding to customer feedback across social media platforms. However, they soon realized that brands sought more than just responses—they wanted in-depth analysis. To address this, Olvy pivoted to develop an AI-powered dashboard that provided detailed feedback analysis, enabling companies to make informed decisions based on customer insights. This strategic shift not only improved their product but also ensured it met the market’s evolving demands. The seminar was highly interactive, with both speakers engaging in a dynamic Q&A session. They fielded questions about the nuances of Product Market Fit and shared their perspectives on the vibrant startup culture. The event concluded with a networking session, allowing attendees to connect with the speakers and each other, fostering a community of like-minded individuals passionate about innovation. The A.T.O.M Robotics Lab’s event was a resounding success, providing attendees with actionable insights and a clearer understanding of the importance of aligning products with market needs. The speakers’ realworld examples and the interactive discussions underscored the event’s value, making it a not-to-bemissed  opportunity for anyone interested in the forefront of tech innovation.
