Three Days International Conference (Hybrid mode) on Industrial Electronics Research and Applications (ICIERA- 2021)


Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, Rohini, organized an International conference on Industrial Electronics Research and Applications (ICIERA- 2021) technically sponsored by IEEE Delhi section during 22nd -24th December, 2021. Under the aegis of Maharaja Agrasen Technical Education Society, it was held in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, in hybrid mode and was also transmitted live on official MAIT YouTube channel. The objective of the conference was to discuss new technologies related to the applications of smart electronics in Industrial area. Further, the Green communication systems & wireless sensor networks were also discussed. Research papers related to building and implementation of smart systems, like electric vehicle, Industry 4.0 and smart machines, as delivery robots and drones were presented. This facilitated participants to enhance their knowledge about 21st century challenges and work in the direction of betterment of human society. It promotes the latest achievements in the field of industrial electronics and related fields over the past year, proposing prospects and vision for the further development.

 

 In the inauguration ceremony, held on 22nd December, 2021, in MAIT campus, Dr. Nand Kishore Garg, Chief Patron ICIERA- 2021, Founder and chief advisor-MATES, Chancellor MAU, and Shri. S. P Agarwal, Executive Chairman, MATES motivated the participants with their kind words. Prof. Neelam Sharma, Director MAIT highlighted the potential of such events that help to share knowledge and experience amongst the students as well as researchers. Chief Guest for the ceremony, Prof. Venugopal Achanta, Director NPL and Guest of Honour Prof. A.P. Mittal and Prof. Singam Jayantu highlighted the necessity for skill enhancement through research and risk handling as a mantra for success and transformation of future innovators. In the opening remarks of the conference Dr. Nitin Sharma, organizing chair ICIERA 2021, introduced the conference consisting of six tracks where out of 199, around 57 papers were presented, as per the IEEE standards. At the end of the session, Prof. Sunil Kumar, General Chair., ICIERA 2021 presented the Vote of Thanks to MATES management members, Speakers, faculty members and all the participants for attending and gracing the occasion. Event was a grand success with more than 200 participants.

During these three days, we have been very fortunate to come across various eminent people from academics and industry and thus be benefitted from their experiences and share a common discipline or field, a great way to meet new people.

 

 The Chief Guest for the inauguration ceremony, Prof. Venugopal Achanta, Director NPL, proposed to connect our students with their esteemed organization for summer internship and project work.

 Prof. Rajeev Kumar, Member Secretary, AICTE motivated us to avail various AICTE sponsored scholarships and research grants.

 Guest of Honour Prof. A.P. Mittal motivated all the teachers to stay updated and adopt life-long learning.

 Prof. Singam Jayantu adviced to go for inter-disciplinary research combining Machine learning, Deep learning in the area of mining.

 Prof. Bhim Singh from IIT-Delhi, expressed his ideas about trending Electric Vehicle technologies and its future in India.

 Our gratitude to Prof. Prerna Gaur for enlightening us about how to propose, plan and organize an IEEE sponsored conference.

 We are grateful to Prof. Siano, who connected with us from Italy, and introduced power quality control concepts to our participants.

 Prof. Swagtam Das of ISI, Kolkata talked about hot topics of research that include Deep Learning and Machine Learning 

 

Finally the organizers are thankful to Prof. Neelam Sharma, Director MAIT, Prof. S.S. Deswal, Dean Academics and Sh. J. R. Mani Tripathi, CFO, MATES for their never ending support.

In the future, ICIERA plans to expand the conference series with international collaborations, as well as its efforts to advance the discussion on the responsible use of industrial electronics through tutorials, poster presentations, workshops, and so on. Finally, it intends to reach out to more research groups around the world that could benefit from IEEE assistance, such as financial support and will publish the extended conference papers in a reputable international journal.
