Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering organized a two day workshop on "IoT & Wireless Sensors" in collaboration with ISTE Student Chapter

MAIT & Eigen Technologies. Dr. Nitin Sharma, Ms. Swati Sharma and Ms. Preeti Goyal, Assistant Professors, ECE Dept, MAIT, coordinated the organization of this two day workshop.

An industrial visit was organized by the Dept. of ECE to Yakult Danone India Pvt. Ltd., Kundali, Sonipat, Hariyana. Ms. Neeraj, Ms. Shalu Garg, and Dr. Anubha Goel coordinated this industrial visit which had participation of 80 students from 5th semester ECE.

Students and faculty members from ECE department, MAIT, participated at the World Space Week celebrations at the Regional Remote Sensing Centre - North (ISRO), New Delhi.

About 50 students of 5th semester ECE went for Industrial Visit at Honda Cars India Ltd., Alwar. They got first hand experience of the functioning of integrated assembly plant for Honda cars under the association of the professionals of the field who also delivered a technical and motivational talk for our students.

Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology organized a visit to India Mobile

Congress (IMC) 2023 being held at Pragati Maidan, Delhi. Overall, 237 students participated in this visit, out of which 150 were ECE students. The visit was

coordinated by Dr. Nitin Sharma (ECE Dept) and Dr. Vinay Kumar Saini (AI&DS Dept). The institute also acknowledges the efforts of Dr. Neeraj Garg, Mr. Ajay Garg, Mr. Priyank Saxena, Mr. Varun Goel, Mr. Bhaskar Kapoor and Mr. Akshay Mool for this visit.

Department of ECE, in partnership with Pantech E-Learning, organized a one-day workshop on FPGA Based Systems as part of its Technology Breakthrough Webinar/Workshop Series. The convener of the program was Dr. Anamika Jain and coordinated by Ms. Swati Sharma and Ms. Preeti Goyal.

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) organized an Industrial Visit to ST Microelectronics, Greater Noida. Students were able to experience the cutting-edge advancements in the VLSI and IoT sectors in this visit. Dr. Anamika Jain, Assistant Professor ECE department, organized the visit, along with the coordination of Ms. Swati Sharma and Ms. Preeti Goyal.

A 6-Days AICTE sponsored Faculty Development Program was conducted on “Semiconductor Materials, Devices, Design and Applications”, from 18th to 23rd December 2023. Around 54 participants from different parts of the country participated in this FDP. Detailed report has been attached.

Carrier Orientation Seminar by Unacademy took place in the main auditorium on 21st September 2022. Following three officials from Unacademy were the main speakers of the event: Mr. S.K. Mondal, Mr. Gurupal Chawla, Mr. Umesh Dhande.

Unacademy is an Indian educational technology company that provides online educational platform with its headquarters in Bangalore, Karnataka. It prepares students for various competitive exams (like JEE, NEET, UPSC, CA, GATE, UPSC NDA, CUET, Boards etc.), as well as provides content on foundational (K-12) and skill building courses (programming, photography, entrepreneurship, etc.). It was founded by Gaurav Munjal, Hemesh Singh and Roman Saini in 2015.

India Mobile Congress visit on 3rd October 2022. About 150 students attended and overall, 250 students took part in this. Detailed report is attached.

Institute Innovation Council organized a session on the topic of “Problem Solving and Ideation” for the students of B.Tech. 2nd year and 3rd year, all branches as well as MBA second year. The speaker of the session was Mr. Ravi Gupta, Advisor, IITD.

The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized a one day seminar with the central theme of career prospects for second year and pre final year students. The event took place from 9:30am till 4:30pm in the Maharaja Agrasen Auditorium.

11/01/2023 to 18/01/2023

In December 2022, a company named “Golden Faces” approached us for the endorsement of resources from MAIT and MAIMS for the event ‘AUTO EXPO 2023’. A total of 60 students were selected and a detailed report is attached. These students participated in AUTO EXPO 2023 after getting training from the company named “Golden Faces”.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT BES EXPO 2023

In January 2023, as per the letter from Government of India, our institute was invited to participate in 27th International Conference & Exhibition on Broadcast & Media Technology, organized by Department of Broadcast Engineering Society (India) from 16-02-23 to 18-02-23, at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Detailed report is attached.

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organised a two-day workshop on the "Impact of AI and ML in Global Education and Learning" in Maharaja Agrasen Auditorium. This workshop was mainly organized to allow the 4th semester students to take an informed decision in selecting their minor subjects when they enter 6th semester as per the new syllabus. Department of ECE, MAIT, organized an Industrial Visit to UTL Solar, Greater Noida. A total of 56 students participated in this visit. All the students were from 4th and 6th semester ECE. Detailed report is attached.

A technical session on “Artificial Intelligence with MATLAB” was organized at 2 pm in Seminar room, 401B. The faculty members from ECE as well as other departments along with the students of MAIT, attended the session. Dr. Rajni, Asst. Prof., ECE dept., coordinated this event.

Department of ECE, MAIT, organized an online webinar at 6:30pm via Google Meet on “Artificial Intelligence”. The speakers of the session included a team from machit.in where they offer future oriented courses for undergraduate students. Dr. Nitin Sharma coordinated this event.

An Expert talk on “India’s Semiconductor Mission”, sponsored by HFA Pharma Ethics, was delivered by Mr. Samuel Jigme Harrison, Semiconductor Professional (Senior Member-IEEE) Singapore. It was attended by the faculty members as well as 3rd year ECE students. Dr. Anamika Jain and Ms. Sumedha Gupta, ECE department were the faculty coordinators of this event.

World Telecom Day Conference was held at Dr Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi. Dr S K Kundu and Dr Nitin Sharma both from ECE Department attended this conference.

A 2 hour event was oraganised by ATOM Robotics society in assosiation with Embedkari. Sanjay Kumar Adhikari and Harshal Wadhwa (alumni of ECE-Mait) delivered a talk on future of embedded systems and robotics.

5. 09/02/2022 to 15/02/2022 ECE Department organized one week online FDP on “Active Learning based Visual Computing” sponsored by AICTE-ISTE. Dr. Nitin Sharma from ECE Department coordinated this FDP.
6. 10/03/2022 ECE Department conducted an International Webinar titled “Pursuit of Eminence” for Electronics and Communication Engineering students of 4th and 8th semester. This webinar gave useful insights to the students regarding how to proceed in their professional careers after completing graduation. Dr. Navneet Yadav, Dr. R.K. Choudhary and Mr. Amit Saxena coordinated this International Webinar.

A two day National Seminar on Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMIC) Design, Fabrication and Applications, was organized by the Department of

Electronics and Communication Engineering at Maharaja Agrasen Institute

of Technology, Rohini, Delhi from 10th March 2022-11th March 2022. The seminar

was sponsored by DRDO, Ministry of Defense, Govt. of India. Dr. Javed Ahmad, Associate Professor, ECE Department, coordinated this National Seminar.

Industrial Visit to Semiconductor Laboratory, Mohali, Chandigarh.

The visit was organised under the able guidance of Prof. Neelam Sharma- Direcctor MAIT, Prof Sunil Kumar - HOD ECE and the faculty Mr. S.K.Kundu, Dr. Nitin Sharma, Dr. Praween Kumar, Dr. Divya Goyal and Ms. Anamika Jain. It was an intensely informative and enriching educational visit to the Semi-conductor Laboratory at the Space Centre, ISRO at Mohali.

Annual Student Convention 2019 (Carrer Orientation Seminar)

A 3 day ISTE Annual Student Convention Delhi section on “Emerging Career Trends for Modern Day Engineers” was successfully organized by Electronics and Communication Engineering Department Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology Delhi. The prime objective of the programme was to ensure the overall development of students in the field of Engineering & Technology. The main theme of the seminar was “What after B.Tech.”. Guidance was given on various fields such as GATE preparation, GRE/GMAT/TOEFL preparation, AI and ML, IoT, VLSI, etc.

6. 06/09/2019 Image Processing and Machine Learning (IMPL) Club organized its very first workshop on the broad topic of Machine Learning at Seminar Hall, Room No. 985, Block No. 9, MAIT. Duration 1:30pm to 5:30pm.
7. 06/09/2019 VLSI Club organized its very first workshop on the topic Recent Trends in VLSI and Microelectronics. The venue was Room No. 422/423, Block 4, MAIT. It was conducted from 1:30pm to 5:30pm.
8. 06/09/2019 Techtronix, the official society of ECE Department, organized a workshop on Internet of Things using Python and Raspberry Pi. The venue was Seminar Hall, Room No. 401 B, Block No. 4, MAIT. It was conducted from 1:30pm to 5:30pm.

An Industrial Visit was organized to SSPL, DRDO, Timarpur, Delhi. A total of 35 students (third year ECE and EEE) and 2 faculty members visited the laboratory which is equipped with advanced facilities. Students were briefed on latest Sensor technology, warfare situations & solutions, optoelectronics & advanced material technology and the future scopes of semiconductor devices.
