TECHTRONIX ORIENTATION 2018

TECHTRONIX the official society of Electronics of MAIT, held its orientation for the 3rd consecutive year on 28th August, 2018. We received a good response with more than 25 people attending the workshop from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd year. The orientation was aimed at introducing the 1st and 2nd year students with the world of electronics , the scope of electronics and the different fields under this branch. This would help newcomers to gain an early start. Firstly, the students were introduced to the different scope under core electronics such as embedded systems and VLSI , their use in industry and the different applications that students can learn at the basic level. Further they were told about the scope of programming in the electronics field, the languages namely embedded C, C, C++, Python and Java, their use, which language to choose at an early level and confusions related to learning a programming language was discussed. A little introduction to non-technical topics such as graphic designing , use of MATLAB etc was given in the orientation.

Our members presented a power point presentation on the different projects which they have worked upon and created themselves from the very beginning of their college life, some live projects were demonstrated too. At the end the students were given a chance to interact with the members on a one to one basis where they discussed their doubts, their interests and gave their feedback about the orientation. They were immensely satisfied and we hope to conduct further similar sessions and other technical workshops for them.
