The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology organized a Seminar on “Machine Learning on FPGA”. The event was planned for the 6th semester electronics students on 15th March’ 2024. The talk was delivered by Mr. Vaibhav Mishra, founder of PinE Training Academy. Dr. Anamika Jain and Ms. Sumedha Gupta, faculty ECE department coordinated this event.
The seminar presented machine learning as a new approach to various aspects of VLSI designing. The session starts with the basics of FPGA technology and introduction to the Pynq-Z2 board as the platform for implementing the machine learning projects. Students learned about the flexibility and re-configurability of FPGAs and how it can be programmed using tools like HDL, Python on the Pynq-Z2 board. The highlight of the seminar was live demonstration of implementation of machine learning projects on the Pynq-Z2 board.
The seminar was concluded with a Q&A session where participants asked questions and discussed the applications, challenges, and future directions of machine learning in VLSI design. Overall, the session provided participants with valuable insights into the integration of machine learning and FPGA technology in VLSI design, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to explore these cutting-edge techniques further in their own projects and research.
Overall, it was an interactive session and contributed significantly to the academic and professional development of students.
