Internship Fair

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT), Delhi successfully organized an Internship Mela in Oct. 2024. The event was aimed at bridging the gap between students and industry by providing a platform where students could interact with company representatives, apply for internships, and gain valuable insight into career paths aligned with their field of study.

Highlights:

Over 10 companies participated in the fair, including startups and mid-sized tech firms from domains like Embedded Systems, IoT, VLSI, AI/ML, and Telecommunications.

More than 200 students from second and third year Tech (ECE) actively participated.

The event included on-the-spot interviews, resume screenings, and skill-based evaluations.

Interactive sessions and company presentations helped students understand ongoing industry trends and required skill sets.

Student Feedback:
Students found the Internship Mela to be a highly enriching experience. Many appreciated the opportunity to connect with real recruiters and receive feedback on their resumes and interview skills. Several students received confirmation for summer internships on the spot, while others were shortlisted for further interview rounds.
Organizing Committee:
The event was efficiently organized by the ECE Department Faculty Coordinator Dr. Nitin Sharma along with enthusiastic support from the ISTE MAIT Student Chapter and the MAIT Placement Cell.
Conclusion:
The Internship Mela at the ECE Department, MAIT Delhi, was a resounding success. It not only offered internship opportunities but also contributed significantly to students’ professional development. The department aims to conduct such fairs annually to continue fostering industry-academia collaboration and preparing students for successful engineering careers.
