Introduction:

IEEE-EDS (Institute of Electronics and electrical Engineers - electronic device society MAIT) is a professional student society dedicated to fostering innovation, technical excellence, and industry-oriented learning at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT), Delhi.

What We Do

● Host specialized workshops, seminars, and technical sessions focused on emerging trends in electron devices to bridge the gap between academic research and industry practices.

● Organize design challenges, innovation contests, and hackathons centered on semiconductor technologies and device engineering to encourage hands-on learning and skill development.

● Facilitate networking events, expert talks, and panel discussions with leading professionals, researchers, and industry experts to foster mentorship, collaboration, and career opportunities.

Objective/Moto:

To promote student interest and innovation in electron devices through workshops, expert talks, and collaborative projects, fostering technical growth and research in microelectronics and related fields.

Description:

The IEEE Electron Devices Society (EDS) is a prominent technical society within the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), dedicated to advancing the understanding, design, and application of electron and ion-based devices. It serves as a global platform for researchers, engineers, and students to collaborate and exchange knowledge in fields such as semiconductors, nanotechnology, MEMS, sensors, power electronics, photonics, and emerging technologies like quantum and xeromorphic computing. Through its numerous conferences, workshops, and flagship events like the International Electron Devices Meeting (IEDM), EDS provides opportunities for professionals to showcase their research and innovations. Members benefit from access to leading journals, technical resources, and networking opportunities that foster career growth and knowledge expansion. Additionally, the society actively supports students through its local chapters, mentorship programs, and technical competitions. By joining IEEE EDS, individuals become part of a vibrant community that is driving advancements in electronic device technology, contributing to the continuous evolution of the modern world.

Objective:

Build a great portfolio & social media presence. This will help us in acquiring industrial collaboration from companies like KUKA robotics etc. This not only helps us in collecting funds , but also provides a great industrial exposure.
