Annual Student Convention 2019 (Carrer Orientation Seminar)

A 3 day ISTE Annual Student Convention Delhi section on “Emerging Career Trends for Modern Day Engineers” was successfully organized by Electronics and Communication Engineering Department Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology Delhi. The prime objective of the programme was to ensure the overall development of students in the field of Engineering & Technology. The main theme of the seminar was “What after B.Tech.”. Guidance was given on various fields such as GATE preparation, GRE/GMAT/TOEFL preparation, AI and ML, IoT, VLSI, etc.


Image Processing and Machine Learning (IMPL) Club organized its very first workshop on the broad topic of Machine Learning at Seminar Hall, Room No. 985, Block No. 9, MAIT. Duration 1:30pm to 5:30pm.


VLSI Club organized its very first workshop on the topic Recent Trends in VLSI and Microelectronics. The venue was Room No. 422/423, Block 4, MAIT. It was conducted from 1:30pm to 5:30pm.


Techtronix, the official society of ECE Department, organized a workshop on Internet of Things using Python and Raspberry Pi. The venue was Seminar Hall, Room No. 401 B, Block No. 4, MAIT. It was conducted from 1:30pm to 5:30pm.

A 3 day National Seminar was organized on “Evolution of Electronics and VLSI Devices, Design and Modeling”.


One day workshop was organized on “Design and Verification of Digital System using Verilog and Machine Learning”.


An Industrial Visit was organized to SSPL, DRDO, Timarpur, Delhi. A total of 35 students (third year ECE and EEE) and 2 faculty members visited the laboratory which is equipped with advanced facilities. Students were briefed on latest Sensor technology, warfare situations & solutions, optoelectronics & advanced material technology and the future scopes of semiconductor devices.

An online FDP was organized on the topic “Wireless Propagation” and the talks were delivered live from NITTTR Chandigarh.


One day workshop was organized on AVR Robotics under the Techtronix society.

COCUBES conducted a pre placement talk and awareness drive for students of final year (batch of 2012-16). The event took place at main auditorium at 2:30pm.

Dr. Chandra Kant Raju affiliated with the Centre for Studies in Civilization (in New Delhi) gave a lecture on “Calculus: History and its Teaching” in main auditorium at 2:45pm. The lecture was attended by B.Tech. (First year morning shift) students.



To promote Government of India’s SKILL INDIA Mission, Maharaja Agrasen Technical Education Society organized a 40 hours of Certification Program on “ Computer Hardware and Networking” for the underprivileged youth section from 21 June 2016 and was managed by the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering and Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Cell (IEDC).



DKOP labs organized a session on Challenges and Employability in Semiconductor Industry by Mr. Bharat for the 5th semester students of ECE branch. About 70 students attended the session. The session included students’ queries and concerns about the industrial scenario and career opportunities prevailing in India and worldwide.

To promote Government of India’s SKILL INDIA Mission, Maharaja Agrasen Technical Education Society organized a 40 hours of Certification Program on “ Computer Hardware and Networking” for the underprivileged youth section. This program commenced from 6 December till 23 December. It was organized by the Department of ECE in association with the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Cell (IEDC).




To start the proceedings of IETE STUDENT FORUM MAIT, workshop on PSpice was held on 14 th Feb 2017 from 11am to 1pm in the department. The workshop was attended by 53 students of ECE first year.



A special seminar was organized by BACE society in collaboration with ECE Dept. on 17th Feb 2017 on the topic, “ Revisiting Human Origin, Studying Archaeological Evidences for Extreme Human Antiquity ”. The seminar was conducted for first year students of all branches. The speaker in this seminar was Dr. Michael Cremo who is a member of the World Archeological Congress and the European Association of Archaeologists as well as an associate member of the Bhaktivedanta Institute.



A presentation on “ Educational Utilization of Standards” took place in the mini auditorium at 10:30am. The presentation was jointly organized by the Bureau of Indian Standards, New Delhi and Maharaja Agrasen Technical Education Society.



Dr. Balbir Singh Sihag , Professor Emeritus, University of Massachusetts, Lowell, USA delivered a talk on “Kautilya, the true founder of economics”.



Techtronix , Society of Electronics and Communication Engineering of Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology conducted a workshop on “Basics of AVR”.



A National Seminar was organized on the topic “Recent Advancements in Electronics”. The seminar was sponsored by the Society for Microelectronics and VLSI in association with IEEE-EDS Delhi chapter. A two day national seminar was organized by the department on the topic “ Recent Developments in Electronic Materials and Devices ”. Speakers were invited from various reputed institutes such as Wilkes University, University of Delhi, SSPL (DRDO), etc. and both the students and faculty members were benefitted with the knowledge attained from a plethora of topics which included Graphene Nanotechnology, GaN Technology, Semiconductor Material Engineering, Wireless and Mobile Communication 1G to 5G etc.



A one day technical meet was organized titled, “ IEEE Mini Colloquia on Insights of Emerging Nanoscale Research Devices ”. A total of three talks were delivered by esteemed professors from institutes of repute.
