Faculty Development Programme On Wireless Propagation


A one week faculty development programme on ‘Wireless Propagation’ was successfully organized by Electronics and Communication Engineering Department Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology from 25th Feb. 2019 to 1st March 2019 and was conducted by Electronics and Communication Engineering Department NITTTR Chandigarh (through ICT).

The objective of this course was to train and upgrade the knowledge of faculty in the area of wireless Propagation. Wireless Propagation concept is related to transmission in indoor and outdoor environment. Theoretical and Practical aspects of propagation were discussed.

The main focus of the program was on Multipath Channel Concepts, Multipath Channel characterization, Channel Models, System-Specific Propagation Channels-Indoor, Outdoor, indoor to Outdoor channels, MIMO Channels, Research Areas in wireless propagations.

Dr. Nitin Sharma, Assistant Professor, ECE Department, was the course coordinator for this program. He conducted this course with the help of Prof. Neelam Sharma, Director MAIT, Prof. Sunil Kumar, HOD, ECE Department MAIT and Dr. Garima Saini, Coordinator, NITTTR Chandigarh.

The FDP received an overwhelming response with 70 participants from faculty members of ECE, CSE, IT and EEE department.
