Industry oriented Workshop On "Verification using VERILOG by Truechip"

IETE Student Chapter MAIT had organized an inaugural 2-Day Industry oriented workshop on 8th - 9th Feb 2018, by Truechip Technologies on “Verification using VERILOG”.

Truechip, the Verification IP specialist, is a leading provider of Design and Verification solutions – which helps accelerate the design, lowering the cost and the risks associated with the development of ASIC, FPGA and SOC. Truechip is a privately held company, with a global footprint and sales coverage across North America, Europe and Asia.

Truechip has been serving customers since last 10​years in VLSI with a strong and experienced leadership. Truechip provides industry’s first 24x5 support model with specialization in VIP integration, customization and SOC Verification.

IETE ISF Coordinators Mr. Praween Kumar Sinha and Ms. Anubha Goel are highly obliged to the Director General MAIT, Prof. M.L. Goyal, Director MAIT, Prof. Neelam Sharma and H.O.D. Electronics and Communication Department, MAIT, Dr. Sunil Kumar Mathur, for their undying support and valuable guidance at each step to make this workshop possible. The Coordinators and the students of IETE student forum also sincerely thank the Experts from Truechip Technologies, who spared time from their busy schedule for this workshop for the benefit of the students.

Truechip Technologies also offered free Internship to two students during Summer Vacations and subsidized Internship to eight students. They also offered to recruit students who meet their requirements after training.

PCB Workshop by Techtronix

Techtronix, the official electronics society organised a workshop on Feburary 16 2018 for PCB designing in which participating students fabricated their own PCB of 555 timer. Around 25 students take part in this workshop. In the beginning, they were explained the working of the circuit. After that they are provided the kits consisting of the necessary equipments. They were explained the detailed processes of fabricating PCB 's which were as follows:

  1. Preparation of the board
  2. Toner transfer
  3. Etching
  4. Drilling
  5. Soldering

At the end of workshop , students were provided the written material of designing PCB. It was completely a successful workshop. Students are satisfied that they gained some good knowledge of hardware.

Alumni Meet, MAIT SMRITI, 27 th January, 2018


The Alumni meet, MAIT SMRITI,was held on 27 th January, 2018 at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology. MAIT (MBA and B.Tech) alumni shown keen interest in visiting their alma mater and more than 450 alumni got registered online. Though, 245 alumni visited on 27 th Jan, 2018. A short programme was organised for them at main auditorium in the campus.

The programme started with lighting of lamp with spiritual chanting of Saraswati vandana. The welcome address was given by Prof.( Dr.) Neelam Sharma (Director, MAIT). She thanked all who were involved in conducting the Alumni meet, specially Shri Nand Kishore Garg ji and Shri Mohan Garg ji being the main pillar of the grand show along with faculty members and student volunteers. The alumni were provided with development and growth data of the institute by Prof.(Dr.) M.L.Goyal (Director General). Shri Subodh Jindal (Alumni of IIT, Delhi), Key note speaker shared his thoughts and wisdom to the gathering in the audi. The alumni and faculty were also addressed by our founder chairman and Chief advisor (Dr.) Shri Nand Kishore Garg ji, he motivated the alumni to come forward and support the institute. Our vice-president Shri Jagdish Mittal ji also graced the occasion. The students of B.tech and MBA were involved in presenting different cultural show like Kathak dance, Oddisi dance and musical medley etc. After the programme all were invited for the delicious lunch and for the photo session with the alumni. The alumni were also given a sovenier as a memoir. It really was a marvellous event with a pledge that our alumni would be contributing to the institute in some or the other way.
