Industrial visit to ST Microelectronics

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) recently organized an insightful industrial visit to ST Microelectronics, a global high-tech company renowned for creating semiconductor technologies that contribute to a smarter, greener, and more sustainable future. The visit was strategically designed to familiarize students with the cutting-edge advancements in the VLSI (Very Large Scale Integration) and IoT (Internet of Things) sectors. Dr. Anamika Jain, Assistant Professor in the ECE department, organized the visit with the able coordination of Dr. Swati Sharma and Ms. Sumedha Gupta. On 18th September 2024, twentythree students of 5th-semester, accompanied by faculty members, explored the ST Microelectronics campus. The visit began with a concise yet comprehensive technical
presentation by the company, offering insights into their involvement across diverse technologies and domains. To further enhance the visitors' experience, the company graciously provided refreshments.
The students then had the opportunity to explore the Da Vinci Innovation Studio, where they were introduced to an impressive display of working models showcasing the latest technological advancements. The sessions throughout the day were marked by interactivity, allowing students to engage with experts and deepen their understanding of emerging technologies. The industrial visit concluded on a high note, leaving an indelible mark on all participants. In summary, the experience was both amazing and enriching for everyone involved, providing students with invaluable insights into the future of electronics and technology.
