*MAIT Hosts Grand Annual Alumni Meet “SMRITI 2026” Celebrating Legacy, Bonds, and Achievements*

New Delhi, February 7, 2026:

Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT), under the aegis of Maharaja Agrasen Technical Education Society (MATES) and MAIT Alumni Association (MAITAA), successfully organized its Annual Alumni Meet “SMRITI 2026” at the MAIT campus, witnessing an overwhelming participation of alumni along with their family members.

The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Nand Kishore Garg, Founder and Chief Advisor, MATES, whose visionary leadership continues to guide the institution. The occasion was further honored by the presence of Shri. Jagdish Mittal, Vice Chairman, MATES; Sh. Mohan Kumar Garg, Joint General Secretary, MATES; Sh. Amit Agarwal, Secretary, MATES; Prof. J.V. Desai, Director General, MAIT; Prof. (Dr.) Vikram Bali, Director, MAIT; Prof. Satvir Deswal, Dean, MAIT; Prof. Dr-Rajni Malhotra Dhingra, Director, MAIMS Delhi; Prof. Sanjiv Marwah, Director, Maharaja Agrasen Business School; Prof. Sachin Gupta, Dean (R&I), MAIT; and Prof. Harbhajan Bansal, Dean (Management), MAIT, adding great dignity and inspiration to the celebration.

The event turned into a vibrant celebration of nostalgia and pride as alumni from various batches reunited to relive their campus memories. A special highlight of the meet was the presence of alumni from the flagship batch of 1999–2003, marking over two decades of MAIT’s academic journey and alumni excellence.

The gathering featured a felicitation ceremony for distinguished alumni, recognizing their remarkable professional achievements and contributions to society. Their inspiring journeys served as a source of motivation for students and young alumni alike, strengthening the institute’s alumni–student connect.

Another key highlight of SMRITI 2026 was the release of “MAIT SMRITI 2026”, the institute’s annual magazine that showcases MAIT’s achievements, academic progress, research contributions, student successes, and institutional initiatives over the past year.

The day-long celebrations included cultural and musical performances by alumni, interactive sessions, memory walk, fun activities, and social engagements, creating a lively and emotionally enriching atmosphere for attendees across generations.

The success of SMRITI 2026 was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the entire team of faculty and staff members along with student volunteers. The alumni meet once again reaffirmed MAIT’s strong legacy, enduring alumni bond, and commitment to nurturing lifelong relationships beyond the classroom.
