SEMICON INDIA 2024 Conference on 11th Sep.’24

SEMICON INDIA 2024 conference was organized by the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, on September 11th, 2024 to mark an important milestone in advancing India's semiconductor sector. Around 60 students from the VLSI branch (3rd Semester) of M.A.I.T attended the event via video conferencing. The highlight of the conference was a special address by the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, who underscored India’s significant progress in the semiconductor industry and the emerging opportunities for the country in the global market. SEMICON INDIA 2024 brought together prominent global stakeholders, including CEOs, international delegates, and key government officials, providing an exceptional platform for collaboration and exchange of ideas. This conference provided an excellent learning opportunity for the students to understand the challenges, advancements, and future directions in the field of semiconductors. The event was co-ordinated by Prof. Sunil Kumar, HoD, ECE and cocoordinated by Ms. Kanika Agarwal, Assistant Professor, ECE.
